We consider our learning and practice of Druidry to be one of the most important aspects of our life. Through our Druidry we enhance the other vital aspects of life. Through serious devotion to Druidry we strengthen our relationships with our family, the land, Nature and the Gods. Our resolve to improve ourselves through spiritual and scholarly pursuits in an environment that is conductive to such pursuits.
Joining the ODU is a three-part application process and can be intense; we require a certain amount of effort and sincerity on your part. The genuine seeker of this path will not find the application process burdensome or intrusive, we ask no personal information beyond the standard, name and contact information, we seek only to know your interest in this path, and whether you will remain steadfast and sincere concerning Druidry and the ODU. To be upfront, if you are a person who isn’t willing to expend some real effort at learning this path, or if Druidry is only a ‘passing fancy’ you would be better off if you looked elsewhere. We are a close- knit community that prides itself in serious study, and believe that in order to learn the path of the Druid (ancient or modern) one is required to live the path. This means it is something that you do everyday of the year, you invest your heart and soul so that the path becomes a part of you and you a part of it.
There are nominal membership dues, paid yearly that go towards website maintenance, printing of lesson material and other Order costs. We are also currently working toward gaining 503c status.
The ODU is careful to admit only those who prove their resolve to study hard, practice with sincerity and grow with patience. If you are interested in finding out more about how you can join with us drop us an email at triunecouncil@irishdruidry.org
