\The ODU has been influenced an inspired by other American Druid orders, particularly Ar nDraiocht Fein (ADF), and the Henge of Keltria, having the most in common with the later Druid order. The ODU does not wish to imply that the Henge of Keltria and the ODU are the same. We acknowledge that some of the core components of ODU lore are quite similar and very compatible with the Henge of Keltria, specifically those of a liturgical nature. Neither the Henge of Keltria nor the ODU sees any conflict in this regard. Both orders have their deepest roots in the American Druid revival; all these orders share some things in common. The ODU is proud to share this noble history and holds the work of the pioneers and founders of the Henge of Keltria and ADF in high esteem.

Though similarities exist our Druidry has evolved to become individual to the ODU. Our practice is actually a form of “Celtic Revivalism” and by using this term to describe ourselves we affirm our respect, and admiration of ancient Celtic thought and culture, to attain this goal we strive for scholarly accuracy whenever and wherever possible. We take our studies, rituals, and growth seriously, allowing for inspiration and a sense of fun. The following lists some other core elements of ODU Druidry.
